Aao Sync Karein!

"Yaar! Ab tak to kaafi door chala gaya hoga", said my friend who lost her phone in the beautiful crowd of Delhi Metro at the infamous Rajiv Chowk Metro Station. Looks like another Kamlesh got money for enjoy his soluchan today.
"Shit yar! Saare contacts gaye ab toh, purane doston ke bhi number the usme aur yaar meri saari photos bhi thi usme!", she said. When my friend was panting about her loss, I was just standing calm and composed as I knew that not everything was lost and many things that she lost could have been easily restored. Thanks to the almighty Rajnikant of Telecom networks aka JIO, she had her internet always "on" and she didn't even bother to turn it off. This was one of the reasons I wasn't so tense.
As everyone knows that technology is developing faster than ever, hence, for a situation like this, there was already a solution. Yes, you guessed it right(even though the name of the article suggests so)  the solution is called "Sync". One of the best way to make sure that your personal data never gets lost(can get lost if you lose your ID password of the ID you used though).

How to sync all contacts?

So, how to make sure that all your personal photos(including your 2138 selfies) and contacts are never lost? Firstly, make sure that you have enabled the syncing feature on your device, it is already activated on almost 99.9% of Android devices, so you may already be in a somewhat better position. But, in case it is turned off by default, then you can sync all your contacts by going to Settings>Accounts>Google>Contacts and choosing the "Sync now" option.
Let's see the steps here:
Step 1: In settings, go to "Accounts" and choose "Sync"
Step 2: Choose the account you want to sync, in this case, it is Google

Step 3: Go to "Contacts" option
Step 4: Tap on "More" and select the "Sync now" option
Step 5: Your Contacts are now synced

Now, the settings on all the phones may differ but if you go to "Settings" of your phone and are able to find the "Accounts" option then, you will easily be able to do this.
After you have synced the contacts, you are good to go and your contacts will be stored in the cloud. So, till now you have saved your contacts on the cloud and no matter what happens, till the cloud is safe, your contacts are safe and secure(until the cloud hack, which has not happened till now, to google at least).

Can I sync/save photos on cloud?

Now comes our beloved Google Photos, that saves photos of your besties and selfies. It is a very basic app by Google which comes pre-installed on many Android devices. This app saves all your photos in the cloud and links it to your Gmail account. You can easily save all your photos in Google cloud and be tension free at all times for your photos, even if deleted, will not get lost.
Go sync now and stay tension free and be alert while traveling in the metro as your phone can't be uploaded in a cloud.
