PlayStation 5, the much awaited gaming console from Sony was revealed
on 12 June 2020. The console was to be revealed on 4 June 2020
initially but it was postponed because of the ongoing protests. The
console has finally been revealed along with some games that will be
available from the launch date and later.
Let’s see the
different aspect of PlayStation 5 that we know till now.
PlayStation 5
Specs
PS5
is the fifth console of the PlayStation series, it has been 7 years
since the last PlayStation was released. The hardware specifications
were already revealed months ago, the same reflected that PlayStation
5 will be a powerhouse and will be significantly more powerful than
PS4.
Here
are the PlayStation 5 specs.

As we can see from
the PlayStation 5 specs, things have improved drastically. In the
past two generations, that is, PS3 and PS4, Hard
Disk were used but the same has changed in PS5, Sony has decided to use an 825GB SSD which will have approximately 100 times faster read
speed than HDD which had 50 to 100MB read speed. As a result of this,
we will be able to switch between games pretty fast without even
closing one.
Along with this,
another major leap will be in the Video Output, PS5 will support an
output of 4k 120Hz which is quite remarkable and makes the console
future proof. This all will be possible because of PS5 GPU which
works on AMD
Radeon™ RDNA 2-based graphics engine and supports ray tracing
technology.

PS5 Design
The most talked about thing related to PlayStation 5 is its design. The console has changed drastically from its past versions. The new design has been trolled on the internet because of its futuristic yet weird design. The design of PS5 seems to remind us of an alien ship. Also, the design of digital edition is a bit better because of the symmetry. The actual console was not shown at the launch event but it seems that it would be the biggest PlayStation console ever released.
PS5 Controller
The PS5 controller has gone a big overhaul and looks far different from it predecessors. The design seems to be a mix of PS4 and Xbox One series controller. The new PS5 controller is a bit thicker and lighter as compared to PS4 controller. Also, in place of Share button, there will be a newer Create button. The news PS5 controller will also provide haptic feedback to its users. We also get a microphone as well as 3.5mm headphone jack for easy communication with fellow players while gaming.
PS5
Price
Sony
did not reveal the price of PS5 in its PS5 launch event on 12 June
2020. However, a few days ago, a leaked screenshot of the PS5 listing
on Amazon France website showed the price of Disk Version at
€499.99. With this price, it can be assumed that PS5 Digital
Edition may cost near to €450.
PS5
price in UK can be around the £499 and £450 for disk and digital
edition respectively. Similar prices can be expected for USA with
$400 and $450 for disk and digital edition respectively.
PS5
Price in India
The
gaming industry in India is pretty different. The PS4 was launched at
₹40,000 while it was launched at a meagre $400 in USA which was
considerably lesser when compared with Indian price.
The
scenario has changed now and the PS5 price in India can be expected
within ₹40,000 to ₹50,000. If the console is priced below than
the mentioned prices then it would eat
up the PS4 Pro sales which is currently selling at the same ₹37,000
to ₹50,000 on Flipkart.
After
the PS5 is launched in India, we can expect a reduction in prices of
PS4 Slim and Pro version as selling the PS5 at a price higher than ₹50,000 would be really difficult for Sony.

the 12 June 2020 Event, many Indie as well as Third-party games were

PS5
Release Date
PS5
release date was not revealed in the event. However, the

2020. PS4 was launched on 13 November 2020, so the mentioned date for
